August Highlights

This summer has been a whirlwind.  Here are some highlights:

 Buying a new car!  We got a Chevy Treverse and we love it!

Cross Country

It was so sad to see this summer come to an end.  It was the greatest summer ever!  We had such a great time in Denver, made wonderful memories in Utah, and loved being with our families and friends.  We headed out Saturday morning and this time the drive was TONS easier with this beauty:

 The first day we drove to York, Nebraska.  The boys did awesome!

 The drive was beautiful!  We wanted to go to Nauvoo so we ended up driving through the farmland of Iowa.  It was so gorgeous!!!

 And over the Mississippi....

 Into Illinois and over to Nauvoo!

 Lincoln was VERY ready for a break and loved seeing the temple and the visitors center...

 It was SO hot...seriously, we were dying...

 We stopped in a small town, Macomb, Illinois, for dinner and it was the cutest little American town.  It was on the towns square and we wished we could have seen it in its prime!  So cute.

 The food was SO good!  Brett got the loaded potato and I got the veggie pizza....divine...

 I love roadtripping and I couldn't have asked for a better crew.  Love these boys of mine!!

 We love driving through Charleston.  It's the prettiest town with the river and the mountains.  So gorgeous.

 And finally back to our beloved Charlottesville, Virginia.
