Thanksgiving this year was just what we needed! Getting to Utah was quite the feat! We left in the morning, only to hit some intense traffic after reaching Cheyenne. Two semis were stuck 10 feet apart from each other and the traffic was moving like a snail! We got past the semis and barely got to Laramie with a 1/2 gallon left in the tank. We got lunch at Subway and went to get back on the freeway only to find that the highway was closed. Gates were down and cars stopped everywhere! We looked on the phone and saw that there was a side road that followed the highway for about an hour and found an onramp that was open, so we took it! We drove on the highway for hours all alone. It was the oddest feeling! Thankfully we got home safe and sound!
Once we got to Utah we partied hard! We went to the zoo one warm morning with Claire and Laura and had a great time!
One night we had a girls night and went to dinner at Cafe Molise. Delish!!
My Grandpa Dustin came up for Thanksgiving and it was such a treat to be with him. He is such an amazing man. My dad gave him a haircut and he couldn't be sweeter.
Family time got a little crazy, so it worked out better to have two Thanksgivings. Thursday we celebrated with the Mellors and Friday we celebrated with the Dustins. It worked out great! We loved every second.
We are truly grateful to have two such amazing families and to get to celebrate with both of them. Feeling so grateful!!!
