Mother's Day

It has been a fabulous Mother's Day.

 I woke up to this....Brett is so darling...

 We went to church and then came home for Lincoln's nap.  After his nap we went to the park by the Provo Temple.  Lincoln's "happy place" is outside and to have Dad there is basically heaven....

We had a great day and I'm so grateful to be a Mother.  It has brought me closer to God and I love that he trusts me and Brett to be parents to Lincoln and our future children. 

I was also happy to get to talk to my Josh on speaker with my whole family.  I love Josh and I can't wait for him to come home!

Cruise '12

We just got back from a dreamy Caribbean Cruise with Brett's family and it was so much fun!  The food was marvelous, the stops incredible, the company fabulous, and the ice cream endless.

Nana was nice enough to watch Lincoln for the whole week we were gone and it was such a nice break from mommy-hood.  We enjoyed every second and loved spending time with Brett's family.

School

One of the thousands of reasons I love Brett is his sense of humor.  Seeing as Brett has been at BYU forever and will hopefully graduate soon, he is really sick of school.  Yesterday when I dropped him off at school, this is what happened.

1. Cruise in 2 days!

2. Dinner with my girls last night.

3. Brett :)  love and adore that man.

My Life and Updates

Being a mom is so awesome.  Pictured below is my life and I couldn't possibly love it more!

 Lincoln and Daddy...ps that car gets so much use!  He loves to push it all around the apartment.  100% boy...

 Sometimes on boring afternoons Linc and I will go to Target and walk around for sheer entertainment...that day we found the sunglass aisle and were there for a while...

 We read TONS of books. He is obsessed.  I need to buy some new ones because (1) I have memorized all our books and (2) I can't stand to read them again...

 Walking with mom at the park.  We LOVE doing this.  Lincoln is such a boy and wants to be outside pretty much all the time.  We go outside and he won't make a single sound... 

 I am loving springtime this year.  I think I appreciate it more this year than I ever have now that I have a baby that loves to be outside so much.  Warm weather is the best!

 Yesterday we went to the mall and it was fun, and short lived ha ha let's just say, Lincoln wasn't really into it.  I am so grateful for Brett.  He is working so hard and we hopefully will be leaving Utah County this summer and moving on to our next adventure.  He is so busy putting the finishing touches on his dissertation.  I can't believe that he will have a PhD this summer.  He is so smart and works so hard, I admire him so much.  Thanks for working so hard Brett!!

And last but almost my favorite is lunch time with Lincoln.  We usually eat the same thing because if I'm eating something different he wants it anyway.  We sing songs, play games, and eat....it's awesome....
