Newport Beach

We went to Newport Beach for my families vacation this summer at Newport Beach.  It was so gorgeous!  We stayed at a Marriott Resort and it was so awesome.

 The first day we got there we went to Joe's crab shack.  The view was incredible!

 Disneyland was a blast!!!

 The weather was cool and the lines were short.  Splash Mountain with my mom and Brett was so fun!!!

 Josh also proposed to Jessica on the beach while we were there...We love her!!

 Lincoln loved the rides at Disneyland.  I was so happy there were so many rides he could go on!  He had such a great day!  His favorite ride was the carousel...

 Another fabulous day was biking on Balboa Peninsula.  The weather was perfect and biking was a blast!

 Ruby's on the pier was amazing...plus an incredible view!

 Angels game was amazing....

 Brett left for an interview at McDermott on Thursday but we still enjoyed the beach!

Round and Round...

While celebrating Laura's birthday, Lincoln found it absolutely hilarious to follow Papa around the room chugging like trains.  They went around for so long!  He was such a sport to let him keep going and going.

"Swimmage"

We are so happy and grateful to go swimming all the time!  Grandma Claire's pool is so fun and Lincoln loves it.

Chicago

 We went to Chicago for the Patent Fair.  It consisted of the following:

 We got to Chicago around 6 and walked around the city a bit and to a restaurant called Bandera and put our name in, an hour wait.  We went and checked into our hotel and then walked back to the restaurant.

 It was such a cool restaurant!  I got a cheeseburger and Brett got prime rib.  Both our meals were absolutely  delicious!  The restaurant had live jazz and super dark.  It was awesome

 The next morning Brett got up and went over to the Embassy Suites for a day full of interviews.  I went for a walk!

 That night we rented some bicycles and biked around town.  It was such a fun way to see the city!  

 Loved biking around the water.  We checked our bikes in and walked around Millennium Park.

 That night we went to Portillo's for pizza and hot dogs.  It was honestly delicious!

On Friday Brett went back to interviewing and I biked to the Willis Tower.  It was such a wonderful view from the top!

I went and met Brett for lunch at Potbelly's and then went with him to the hotel he was interviewing at.  There were so many students and rooms with firms interviewing.  It was such a cool experience (but terrifying at the same time.) 

 He is so handsome!  Who wouldn't hire this guy?!

 Friday we went on an Architecture tour and it was incredible.  Our tour guide was super knowledgeable and the city has an incredible history.

Farmington Pond

Tonight we went to Farmington Pond and Lincoln loves it so much.  Tonight he walked straight into the water with his clothes on.  He cracks me up.  

 Chocolate milk makes me so happy.  I crave it all the time.
