Winter Break Randoms

While we were in Utah my mom, Holly, and I went to the Christmas Concert by the Mormon Tabernacle Choir.  It was beautiful and so fun to be with mom and Holly!

As per tradition, Gigi made the grandkids and the adults breakfast before Holly left back to Seattle.  It was delicious as always.  She is so sweet!

 Lincoln "gave" her a hug...
We also went and visited Grandma B at Legacy.  She was so sweet!

Grandma B was so sweet to Lincoln and even took him for a ride to show him around...

 Lincoln was in heaven...
I really, really love my little buddy...
Alaina and Kyle came over for dinner one Sunday and Lincoln loved to play around Kyle...just crossing my fingers that he will be as good for little brother...
We went to City Creek one day and went into the Disney Store.  The Cars items were absolutely overwhelming for Lincoln and he was so excited.  He finally resulted in laying on the floor playing with the toys.  He cracks me up.
He loved watching the fountains too...

He loves to play with Papa...

Brett was really happy to find his yo-yo from childhood...
And Lincoln LOVED playing ping-pong with Grandma Claire and papa....

Lincoln was really excited about the snow too.  He just kept watching it and talking about it being cold.  Love that Brett got to come for the break too after finishing his finals on the 18.  Way to go babe!
Grandma Claire was so sweet and took Lincoln to the library.  Lincoln was really excited to get his books and check them out.  She is so sweet!

5 Years

5 years ago we got married.  Life is so, SO good.  To celebrate we went to the temple together and then went to dinner at Robintino's in Bountiful.  So happy to share a life with this wonderful man.

Brett is 28!

Brett turned 28 this year.  I love him more and more each year.  He is such an incredible man, husband, and father.  I'm so grateful for him in my life.
For his birthday he went on the red-neck shootout with my family....
And when he got home we went to dinner with his family at Corbin's.  It was so good!  After we enjoyed a mint chocolate chip ice cream cake and celebrated Brett.

Christmas

Christmas day was amazing as always.  Nana and Papa got Lincoln a Lightning McQueen truck which had him completely busy all morning long.

Christmas breakfast was delicious and so fun to be with family on such a special day.
It wouldn't be Christmas without a Nerf War...
Christmas lunch was delicious and so special too.  Lincoln loved sitting with his cousins, even if they tease him a bit.

I love Christmas Day and I'm so happy that we were able to be in Utah for the break.  We love our families so much and it's so wonderful to be with them.  So grateful for so many blessings.  We are truly blessed!

Mellor Christmas Eve Party

On Christmas Eve we went to the Mellors for more Christmas Time fun.  It was a blast, complete with a christmas eve feast for lunch.  Delicious!
Lincoln loves to play with Nash....aka steal his toys without retaliation.
We had a wonderful Christmas program....

After the program we had a scavenger hunt throughout the house that got a little crazy.

Grandma Claire put together craft time and Lincoln loved it, along with all the grandkids.  He made an alphabet book and a Lincoln tree...with lots of help ha ha.

We also exchanged gifts and Laura got Lincoln an adorable backpack.

And no Mellor Christmas party is complete without bells.  I think we got even better from last year!

It was a gorgeous day and the boys helped papa build a darling snowman to top off the day.

Dustin Family Christmas Eve Extravaganza

For Christmas Eve-Eve, the 23, we celebrated Christmas with my family with bowling and lots of games.  Brett and I got pretty into it and it turned out really fun.
First, we went bowling.
Lincoln thought it was pretty much the coolest thing ever.  He loved pushing his ball down the handicap ramp.

 The men...
After bowling we had a very "homemade" dinner of pizza and salad.  Delish!
After dinner the games commenced.  We played a series of minute-to-win-it games set up by Brett and I with points for winning.  The points would then be used at the auction after the games.
The games included: Getting an oreo from your forehead to your mouth without your hands...
Stacking cups into a tree shape...
Getting a rudolph ball on your vasolined-nosed, which proved to be nearly impossible....

 Organizing cups according to weight....

Stacking candy canes on a candy cane fishing pole...
Hanging candy canes on a string....
Dancing to get jingle bells out of a box...
Which my mom and dad proved to be very good at...
And after was the auction and then we watched It's a Wonderful Life. It is a new Dustin Family tradition and I can't wait for it for years to come.
Josh won the basketball hat, which of course Lincoln loved.
