Graduation Weekend

Graduation weekend was absolutely wonderful.  Bob and Claire flew in to the Richmond Airport on Wednesday night and stayed with us.  The next day we drove to Richmond to stay at Great Wolf Lodge, and Katie and Steven drove up from Atlanta to meet us there as well.  We played and partied hard there.  Lincoln was in absolutely heaven!  He was so brave and went on so many slides.  It was such a blast.

Next we went to play in Richmond and went to Hollywood Cemetery to see the confederate graves, monument, and James Monroe burial.  Such a beautiful day!

When we got back to Charlottesville it was packing time.  Everyone was so helpful.  The couch we sold to some friends, so unfortunately we didn't have anything to sit on after that.  Things got a little sketchy once we packed or sold everything.

 The moving crew...
The pods.  These worked so great and I'm so glad we chose to go with the pods.  No moving truck hassle!!

For graduation dinner on Saturday night we went to Royal Indian.  It was one of our favorite restaurants in Charlottesville and we're glad everyone enjoyed it.
We also went on a nice walk on Monticello Trail.  I loved that place...
On Monday morning we packed everything up and locked the door.  It was so sad to see a chapter of our life close.  We have loved Charlottesville and loved the people we got to meet there.  C'ville will also be a special place for us.  I miss it already!
We owe a huge thanks to Bob and Claire.  They took Griffin home with them so that we could drive across the country without Griffin.  He is kind of a pill in the car, so we are eternally grateful that he flew home with his loving Grandparents.  Then he stayed with them and with Nana and Papa Dustin.  Talk about a loved little boy!  Thanks everyone!

Graduation Day

Graduation Day was surreal.  How weird that Brett is done?!?  I'm so proud of all the hard work he has put in.  He is seriously amazing and I can't believe all that he has completed.  What a man!!
Graduation Day was great.  We went to sacrament meeting in the morning and then went home and relaxed for a while.  It was really hot and humid outside and was raining really hard.  They ended up relocating the ceremony from the lawn at the law school to the John Paul Jones Arena, and pushed the time to 5.  It was nice to have it inside-outside was crazy hot!

Our closest friends (besides the Larsens) the Quists, Bylunds, and Buchanans.

So grateful to have family there for Graduation.  We are so lucky to have so much love and support.  It was so fun to have Brett's family there!!
1. Law School.
2. Beautiful Charlottesville.

Last Days of C'ville

Whew.  Teary as I write this post.  We can't believe our time in Charlottesville is coming to a close.  This city has been so amazing and we have loved everyday living here.  Here are some highlights as of late.
Lincoln's Pizza with a happy face from school...
Last day at the children's museum...

And meeting up with friends at the milkshake shop by the museum...

Dinner with friends in the upstairs of Crozet Pizza on the Corner...
 Afternoon arts and crafts time...
Last day as a "helper" at Lincoln's school...

 The Monticello Tree...
Complete with a Duck Donuts stop and dance after...

Griffin cuteness while I try to make dinner....
 Lincoln: "Mom, can you fly?
Me: "No Lincoln I can't.  Can you?
Lincoln: "Yes, I'm flying right now!"
This is one of his many darling things he has said.  I love him so much.
