Co-Op Date Night

We have a great babysitting-date-night exchange going with some of our friends here.  The Moores, Christensens, Watts, Buchanans, and us all switch off babysitting on a night on the weekends so the other couples can go out.  It's been so fun to go on dates with Brett, sans Lincoln.
the other night we went to Slice Pizza and then went and read books at Barnes and Noble.  It was so relaxing.

Meanwhile my friend Erin had the kids. (Lincln at the top facing the other way...)
Last Friday was our turn and it wasn't as bad as I was expecting.  The Christensens were out of town but we had the other kids and they were really good.  Brett built them a fort with the couch cushions which kept them entertained for quite a while and then we turned on a movie.  Glad to get 4 date nights for one night of babysitting!

Birthday!

The best present I got this year for my birthday was finding out that we are having another BOY!!! We were so excited when the technician said those words.  We are so happy that he looks healthy and growing perfect.  We're excited to meet him in January.
For lunch Brett got us sandwiches from Bellair Market and we went to Walnut Creek Park.  It was so pretty.  We sat in this covered seating area and looked out on the serene water and shore.  Lincoln was in heaven.

They had a great playground too that we played on for quite a bit.  The weather was perfect and no one was there.
Brett also brought frisbees so we could play on their Ultimate Frisbee Course.  It was a lot harder than we thought but really fun.

That night we had a babysitter for Lincoln and Brett took me to Timberwood Grill.  It was delicious.  He is always so thoughtful and gets me great gifts and fun puzzles to complete as we wait for our dinner to arrive.  So happy I married such a wonderful man.

A couple days later my friends met at Sweet Frog to enjoy frozen yogurt and celebrate me.  I felt so loved.  So happy to be here!
1. Brett planning such a great day for me!
2. Baby BOY!
3. Frozen yogurt, my favorite.

Shenandoah National Park Camping

We went camping up at Shenandoah National Park with our friends, the Christensens.  It was a cooler weekend, but we didn't expect it to be so foggy!!
Lincoln read his books on the way up...
We camped at Loft Mountain...
 The kids ate delicious snacks...
Once we got there we started the fire and put in our tin foil dinners.  They were delicious!

Lincoln thought it was the coolest thing ever to be outside and sleep in the tent.  We brought a pack and play for him to sleep in and he slept great until 5:30am....then he woke up and sang the ABC's for a while...

After the kids went to sleep Sara made cobbler and it was delicious.
Thanks to Grandma Beus we had a great 6 man tent.  Unfortunately we didn't have a tarp...and we got pretty wet.
Charlotte got some bad scrapes...

The Group (Plus pregnant me)

It started to rain harder as we were driving away but thankfully were not to soaked.  We had a great time and were so happy we went!

Lincoln's clothes had to be removed upon getting into the car.  He didn't make it too long in the car before falling asleep.  He loved the whole thing.
