Well, last Saturday some friends of ours invited us to go with them to explore Nutty Putty Cave in Santaquin. I had heard about them from my family so we were excited to go. We drove out, just 5 of us, to Santaquin, and then some side streets, gravel drives, and dirt roads out to rolling hills by Utah Lake. We drove up a rather large hill and got out to find the cave. We finally found it on a hill. It is just a hole in the ground as you can see. Steve and Rachel went in first to unlock it from inside. The cave is currently closed to the public but if you get on a seperate sign up sheet you can go at a selected time with the password to get in. Brett went in after and then I went down into the hole and to my sad surprise the hole to crawl in through was smaller than I dreaded. It was an extremely small hole with a puddle of water on the ground. I couldn't see anyone in the cave but I could hear them. I finally made my way in army crawling and got through. It was so
SCARY!! Once I got in the cave I could stand and was feeling alot better. We crawled and climbed around in the cave for a couple of hours. The cave goes a little over 300 feet down into the earth. There are steep slopes, ropes for grip, and ladders for climbing all through the cave. It was awesome!! We did make it out alive, although very, very
wet!
