Go BYU!

Today Brett and I were lucky enough to go to the BYU Football game against San Jose State.  My uncle had 2 extra tickets and the game started late enough that we had Lincoln go to sleep at their house and we went baby-free.  It was so fun to sit and watch without entertaining our little man.
Thankfully we won 29-16.  We had great seats and had a wonderful time.

Laughing is the Best Medicine

I feel sick today.  Like, real sick.  I have tried everything, but laughter really is the best medicine.  These are the meds that cured me...or at least made me smile...
 Ha ha ha ha...
This made me laugh thinking about Josh dying of heat on his bike....
And my weirdo son that loves to do this to his binkie...

Ah....I feel a little better now...

Fall Conference Weekend

On Friday we headed up to Farmington again.  Yes, we love going up north for the weekends.  Friday we went to Abby's reception and got to see Katie!!  We were so happy to be able to see her again so soon.  After we went to Rumbi and got dinner with Laura and Matt and then enjoyed the BYU win over Utah State...although that game was way too close.

On Saturday morning my dad helped me get the baby seat on his bike.  We strapped Lincoln in the back of the bike and we went for a ride.  Brett and Lincoln rode together while Uncle T and I followed behind.  It was so beautiful to ride down through Lagoon Trail.
I loved being behind and seeing Lincoln's little head popping up...
We stopped to see the animals on the trail, but I don't think Lincoln even noticed...

We loved the ride and Linc thoroughly enjoyed it until the last 2 blocks when he got tired.  When we got home we watched conference and were so surprised to hear that there will be another temple in Provo!  The tabernacle that will be converted to a temple was where we would have stake conference when we lived at Wymount.  I love President Monson and his cheery disposition.  Life really is wonderful and there is no reason to not be happy!
While the boys went to Priesthood us girls went up to Park City to see the colors and enjoy some yummy mexican food at the Baja Cantina.  My grandma, mom, me, and Linc went up and it was such a great time!  The colors were so gorgeous up there!
Lincoln after dinner.  He is so cute but unfortunately getting a little difficult to take to restaurants.
On Sunday morning I was doing my hair when I heard Lincoln constantly giggling.  I went into Trevors room to find my dad doing his daffy duck impression and Lincoln laughing hysterically.  It was so darling!
Sunday we went over to the Mellors (sadly Bob and Claire were gone but enjoying a cruise in Europe!) and watched conference with the gang.  Laura made a fabulous lunch and we had a great time.  We love to see everyone, especially Steven and Katie!
Lincoln loves conference ;)
That night we went back to my parents and had a great dinner with just our family (missing Holly's gang though).  Deven and Andrea are the cutest parents and Alaina is so beautiful.  After dinner we played outside in the gorgeous weather for a long time.
Love that little girl...
And I love these two....my boys!!
Family photo with Lincoln laughing at the daffy duck impression again...
Brett practicing his baseball swing...
Like Father...Like Son...LOVE these two :)
Yeah, another fabulous weekend.

Birthday Festivities

My birthday this year was so awesome.  First, my girls and I had a party for the recent birthdays including Caroline, Allison, and me.  We went to the old Spaghetti Factory at Trolley Square.  It was so great to see them!
My parents also came down earlier in the week and took me, Brett, and Lincoln to lunch at Brick Oven.  Yum!  I was so excited to have them down in Provo and get to have lunch with them.  Thanks mom and dad!!
On my actual birthday Lincoln and I went to the park.  He is seriously such a doll.  We went and played on the swings and then explored the grass.  What a different birthday from any I have ever had, but definitely one of the best!! :)
That night Brett took me out to dinner and we went to Applebees (Yes, I definitely got treated this week with restaurants and I was so excited!!  No cooking :)).  It was so fun and Lincoln was so good at the restaurant.  After dinner we put Lincoln to bed and Steven came over and stayed at our house while we ran off to the dollar movie for Super 8.  We were so grateful for the break!
Thanks Brett for getting me such cute fun things!  It was the best birthday a girl could ask for.
I was so happy to get so many birthday wishes on my phone and in gifts in the mail and such.  Thanks so much everyone!

Picnic in the Park

Lincoln and I love to meet Brett for lunch.  Usually we got to a fun spot on campus but since school has started it has gotten a little busy on campus.  The other day we went to Kiwanis Park for lunch and Lincoln loved it, as did we.  He seriously loves to be outside.
 Hello...

Labor Day

I am quite behind in blogging, but I am trying to catch up.  For Labor Day we went up to our cabin in Island Park, just like we do every year and it is such a wonderful tradition!!  I love going up there and spending time with my family.  This year we:
Played lots with my dad, or "papa"...
went to Yellowstone Lake...
(It is seriously gorgeous up there)...
threw rocks in the lake with Lincoln...
went on a "3-hour-drive" to the Grand Tetons and Jackson Hole area....
which was absolutely picturesque.  What a beautiful place!!
Lincoln loved the Grand Tetons...ha ha...
adored the beautiful Tetons...
And enjoyed being with my parents friends from Arizona.  It was so fun to have them join us.  We love this family tradition and loved being with family in such a beautiful place.
