Sleepless in Seattle...

Last Thursday I went on a fabulous adventure to Seattle to visit Holly and her fam with my mom and Lincoln. It was a picturesque vacation!!!  It was so wonderful to see where Holly will be living forever and get to see their darling home and Jansens awesome downtown office.
Lucy wrote this in preparation for us coming.  She is so darling and so smart!
The girls were so cute with Lincoln and he adored them.
We had a fun candlelit dinner all together and the girls are stirring their "tea".  Mia was so excited to sit at her little kids table.
The first night there we went to Chinnooks, a fish restaurant on the water and had great fish and fish tacos.  After dinner Lucy said,
"It's just so frustrating when you go to a restaurant and the food is so yummy so you want to keep eating but then your tummy gets full and you can't eat anymore."
I agree Lucy, it is frustrating. :)
 Love these two :)
 And LOVE this little family!!!
On Saturday Jansen was kind enough to watch the girls and Lincoln for us so we could have a day out and shop!  We went to University Village and shopped for hours and enjoyed a great lunch at a mexican restaurant called Sonrisa.
 Our tacos were amazing!!!
 Love shopping with these gals!
The building in the water is where we had dinner and behind that is Magnolia, where Holly lives.  It is such a beautiful place and her neighborhood is pretty dreamy.
I loved going to Trader Joe's and getting lots of yummy food too!!  I took lots home in my bag :)
The weather was a little chilly but absolutely beautiful!!  We loved going down to the water and watching the boats.

 So gorgeous!!!

 Lincoln loves his Aunt Holly!!
 And his Nana!!
We also went on a beautiful walk in Discovery Park.  The trails are so beautiful and looks right over the ocean and to a lighthouse.
 Love my little nieces :)
I'm so happy for Holly in their new spot and so happy I got to come visit with mom and Linc!
These girls love their Nana!!

Annual Witches Gathering

This year we enjoyed the second annual gathering of my witchy friends and it was such a blast!!  Kylee hosted again at her darling house in Layton and miraculously all my best girlies were there (Minus sister Nicole).
The food was fabulous!!   All my girlfriends are so creative and brought the most scrumptious and decorative food fit for witches!
We played lots of games and laughed way too hard.

Love you all!!!

Chocolate Cake

Claire and I went to the Cheesecake Factory for lunch.
Lincoln had some of Claire's chocolate cake, as in chocolate for the first time in his sweet little life.
I think at this moment he was thinking, "Wait, what??  What is this chocolately savory sweetness that is in my mouth right now?  It tastes really, REALLY good.  Why have my parents been keeping this from me??  I really like it.  Grandma Claire, can I please have more??"
What a cutie.

Giggles...

This morning I came home and heard laughing through the door and this is what I found inside.
Seriously, I love Brett so much.  He is the best.

1. Giggling Lincoln.
2. Wonderful Saturday at home.
3. Brett, my amazing husband.

Hee Haw

Last night Brett and I had a fabulous date night.  We left Linc with one of my friends and went out on the town.  First we went to dinner at Milagros in Orem.  We heard about it through an article in the paper that said that Bronco recommended it, and it was seriously yummy!!  I am so happy to have finally found a fabulous mexican food restaurant down here.
After dinner we went to Hee Haw Farms in Pleasant Grove.  I bought a groupon for it a few weeks ago and it was a great deal.
First we went through the "pirate ship" design corn maze.  Yes, we got lost quite a few times and saw sign number 10 too many times, but we finally made it out thanks to Brett's navigation skills (don't let the picture deceive...).
We couldn't resist these awesome photo opportunities...
 My husband is hot :)
 Me and the farm...
After the corn maze we went to the "Cornevil Terror House".  It was seriously scary!!  I usually don't get that scared from haunted houses but it was SO good!!  We screamed the entire way through, along with me holding on to dear life on Brett.  The rats, snakes, river monsters, clowns, monsters, psychos, mental patients, and more were absolutely terrifying.  I recommend it :)
Our groupon also included 2 pumpkins, which we painted today.  It was such a great date night!

These pictures are just too cute not to post.

Go BYU!

Today Brett and I were lucky enough to go to the BYU Football game against San Jose State.  My uncle had 2 extra tickets and the game started late enough that we had Lincoln go to sleep at their house and we went baby-free.  It was so fun to sit and watch without entertaining our little man.
Thankfully we won 29-16.  We had great seats and had a wonderful time.
 1. football.
2. babysitters.
3. being with my hubby :)

Laughing is the Best Medicine

I feel sick today.  Like, real sick.  I have tried everything, but laughter really is the best medicine.  These are the meds that cured me...or at least made me smile...
 Ha ha ha ha...
This made me laugh thinking about Josh dying of heat on his bike....
And my weirdo son that loves to do this to his binkie...

Ah....I feel a little better now...
