Skinny owl out on a limb..

Well...recently I have picked up a rather unique hobby of making Owl Art. It is wall art that is made of canvas or duck cloth. It is rather funky but is alot of fun. I am currently getting them into stores and I'm really excited! Hope you enjoy my randomness. :)

Babysitting for 4

This weekend Brett and I got to watch Kirt and Aprils (our aunt and uncle) 4 kids from Friday to Sunday while they were in California. It was such a blast! They are great kids and were so much fun. We went to the park and fed the ducks, played on the swings, had a lego war, played seek and hide, watched Star Wars and General Conference, and pretty much every other game you can think of. There was the 3 boys, Jake, Matt and Ben and one girl, Aubrey. They are wild and crazy with so many surprises but way sweet and fun. (I am not pictured above, but I promise I was there. :) )

Me vs. Great Harvest

Today I thought it would be a brilliant idea to make some homemade bread while I worked from home on my laptop. Well, it started with great ideas, warm fuzzy feelings, smiles, and feeling extremely domestic. Time went on...the bread was supposed to rise...and it still looked the same size. I gave it more time (mean while starving myself so I could eat some of this amazing homemade bread)...and I waited and waited. After 45 minutes of baking in the oven the bread came out and all dreams, wishes, and smiles were dashed. Another bad loaf. Hard, small, and ugly was my loaf. To keep a smile for the rest of the day I gave in and went to Great Harvest...defeated but my stomach was very content. I have a dream that someday I will defeat the buying of bread but for today...I will make another piece of yummy toast and call it good.

Friday Night Football

Brett has joined the ward football team. He got 2 touchdowns the first game but sadly they lost. Here are pictures from last weeks game. If you can't tell I just adore him. :)

I'm 22!!

Breakfast...after I devoured most of it :)
Dinner at Goodwood...

Yesterday was my birthday and I have to admit that it was one of my best birthdays yet. Sunday my mom made a birthday dinner for me which was amazing! And yesterday I was able to have lunch in Salt Lake with my parents. It was great! Thanks to all who sent me birthday texts and wishes. Katie came over and gave me such a cute present and I love it! Thanks Katie :). And thanks to Claire and Bob for the cute card!!! I was blessed with great in-laws. Brett spoiled me so much!! I'm sorry but I'm going to brag about my husband because he truly made my day! When I woke up he had made me breakfast, crepes and strawberries. It was so good! You need to cook more honey :). I went to work and when I got home he showered me with gifts. He gave me 24 red roses, the office season 3, bride wars, earrings, a BYU awesome jacket, twizzlers, the game Coloretto, and a wonderful card. I loved it all! And he composed a song for me on the piano that he played for me which was beautiful! We went to dinner at GoodWood which is our favorite restaurant. He truly did spoil me and I just want to say thank you honey! You are my everything and I love you so much. And thanks again for all the birthday wishes everyone!

My Tuesday Night Obsession

It is currently on commercial, but on Tuesday nights I love to watch the show The Biggest Loser. It is truly an inspiring show and I LOVE watching it. I haven't decided yet which player I want to win this season but I have a feeling it's going to be a great season. Give it a chance and let me know who you think will win. It's back, I gotta go!! P.S. My blog is currently under construction, so pardon my dust!

Recent Happenings

This last week I got to meet up with my cousins Hannah and Brooke. I love them so much!! Hannah is currently at Dental School in Ohio and Brooke is here at BYU. They are such wonderful cousins and it was so FANTASTIC to catch up with them. Love you girls! Three Musketeers forever! :)

Sunday Katie and her friend Steven came over for dinner. It was so yummy!! Katie brought super yummy shish-kabobs and fruit salad. I made a salad and some brownies. Needless to say we were very proud of ourselves for making such a gourmet meal. ;) After we watched our favorite show the Office. It was a great Sunday. Come over soon guys!!

Island Park Adventures

Over Labor Day weekend my family and I headed up to our cabin in West Yellowstone (Island Park for those that know the area.) and had a great time. (Thank you again to Andrea...without her I wouldn't have any pictures, THANK YOU!!) It is always so fun to go up there. Some of our activities included: Trevor forgetting his suitcase, going to an IMAX about "Wild Alaska", watching BYU blow out Oklahoma in an incredible win!, playing with my nieces Lucy and Mia, going to Yellowstone, playing "name that song", enjoying cooler weather, throwing rocks in the lake, canoeing down a slow-flow river and getting out of the boat to push it down the river, getting in the hot tub with Lucy, being able to see my incredible sister Holly, seeing "Old Faithful", and just being able to be with my family. On Sunday we went to church and there were 3,000 people there. Every room was packed, along with the annex, and the outside grounds. Good job to all those righteous vacationers!! We sat in the foyer and enjoyed waiting for the sacrament for an hour. It was crazy! When I was young I locked myself in the Old Faithful Lodge bathroom and my dad shimmied along the outside of the lodge on the 3rd floor, got into the window, and helped me out. Thanks dad! We took a picture just to remember the moment. :) It was a great trip!!

Nieces and Nephews...

Brett and I have been lucky enough to be able to see our nieces and nephews that live far away this past week. Stacy, Jackson, and Nick were able to come out and we stole Jackson away for the night. We played tennis outside and rock 'n' rolled to music in Brett's room after. He is so, SO cute!! He knew who Brett was and was so excited to see him. Brett was very happy! :) My sister Holly flew in this last week to help her sister-in-law with a bedroom makeover (Yes, she's just that talented to be flown out for her expertise, I'm jealous!). She brought with her Lucy and Mia and we were able to hang out with them at home and at our cabin. SO fun!! We miss them and love it when we can see them. Come more guys!!! (Sadly, Nick is not pictured in this post...hopefully soon though!)
