Family Video

One of my friends from High School, Chris Koch, made a video for us a few weeks ago and I couldn't be happier with it.  It is truly a priceless memory we will have forever.  It perfectly captures what our every day life is like with our little Lincoln.  We love our little boy!!  Here is the link to the video:

Alaina Bettie Dustin

Congrats to Deven and Andrea on their beautiful baby girl, born on Thursday, August 18, 2011 after 26 hours of labor.  She weighed in at 8 lbs and 3 oz.  She is one beautiful, perfect little girl!!!
I love her so much already.  It was weird taking this picture, thinking of what it will be like someday with another baby. Crazy!!  But, if she's as cute as Alaina we'll be okay :)
Deven and me with our kids...so crazy!!  I was thinking Lincoln was still little but he's definitely a big boy!!
Uncle T is the best uncle.  We love him!!!

half a year.

Lincoln is 6 months old-I can't believe it.  Monday he had his 6-month check-up and he's growing like a weed.  Here are his stats:
Weight: 18 lbs.  57%
Head: 18 inc.   94%
Height: 29 in.  95%
=very healthy :)

What a healthy boy!!!!  He is so much fun and we absolutely adore him!!  Some of the things he currently does:
-rolls over from his tummy to his back
-laughs at peek-a-boo
-plays with his toys
-food-loves strawberries and peaches
-takes long afternoon naps
-smiles and is in total awe whenever he is outside
-best baby ever :)

durango.

On Friday my dad, mom, Trevor, Lincoln, and I went down to Durango, Colorado for my Dustin family reunion in Hermosa Park, Colorado.  It was so gorgeous and so great to see relatives and my grandpa.  We met at a campground in the park and enjoyed lots of food, games, and conversation.
It was a relief to drive down the Iron Horse trail and not be biking it :)
There was a fantastic creek in the park where Trevor and dad caught more than 10 fish.  They were so yummy!!
Lincoln loved being in the mountains and especially getting held by papa.
 So gorgeous....
Who doesn't love a little bacon, french toast, and hash browns for breakfast??
While hanging out my Aunt Tammy set up a "minute to win it" game.  It was so fun!!
We all enjoyed cheering on our teams and laughing with each other...
Lincoln was a great teammate and running buddy with me during kickball....
On Sunday we went to church with my grandpa in Farmington, New Mexico.  He turns 90 years old this year and he is still doing so well. He calls me his little "I do" and "sugar".  He is one of the sweetest men alive and I'm so happy I was able to see him again.  He was so proud to take us to church with him and show us off.  I just adore him....

Brett and I were lucky enough to have our siblings from far away come this month to visit.  It has been so fun hanging out with them and getting to see our nieces and nephews.  Here are some pictures to re-cap our summer adventures with the Mellors.

mccall.

Last weekend we went on a Beus family reunion up to McCall, Idaho.  When we were younger our Beus side went there almost every summer and it is a fun family tradition we are starting again.  It is honestly one of the most beautiful places I have ever been.  It hasn't been taken over by tourists, yet, and hopefully never will.  This year we rented a fantastic condo right on the water.  We would walk out the back porch and be on the shore.  It was so beautiful!!
We mostly did a lot of water activities which were so fun.  We rented a boat on Friday and Saturday along with jet skis on Friday.  I had never been on a jet ski, but they are my new favorite water activity!!  So fun!
Lots of my aunts and uncles were there along with my cousins and even some of my cousins kids.  It was so great to see everyone!!
(Photos courtesy of Aunt Debbie, thanks so much!!)
Nana (my mom), Lucy, and Mia out playing on the shore.
Dad, Jansen, and Brett bringing in the awesome jet skis.
 Lincoln enjoying the great weather...
We got some fabulous pizza one of the nights-this was the kids table-I remember the day I graduated from the kids table, yea for being married :)
 Enjoying the sun and water!
 "Uncle T" and cousin Aubrey...
Walking through town when we saw Aunt Debbie and Uncle Mike!  "Hey!"
Lincoln loves my grandma Beus.  He talks to her so much.  I think he spent a lot of time with my grandpa in heaven and wants to tell her everything about it. :)
Yes, even Linc had a swimsuit for water time at the lake.
 He loved it all :)
We had such a wonderful time and can't wait for next year!!!

Lincoln loves his breakfast...

As I said in an earlier post I wanted to re-finish a dresser and my aunt gave me a great piece.  This dresser started out a light brown, sadly I didn't take a full on before picture.  Holly and Lucy came down and helped me finish it and we love it!!
...painting the light grey all over and then the dark grey chevron stripe....
taping off the chevron stripes...
All done!!
 Lincoln's room....
I think it turned out really cute and I love it!!  Thanks Holly so much for your help!!
